What do you think about games that are advertised as free but actually have paid features in them?
I don't mind paying for a game, but I'd rather the developer was upfront about it rather than say it's free just to get people to play it. I'm totally for supporting developers because after all, it's their hard work, as long as they're not forcing people to pay when they say it's a free game. Demos are fine but claiming that the whole game is free and asking people to pay to unlock the next level is going too far, imo.

'Free' games with intrusive ads are super annoying. If they really wanted to make money out of people playing the game, I'd rather they offer an ad-free demo and have a paid full version. I'd buy it if I enjoyed the demo without the ads getting in the way. Back to the question, paid features? If the game itself is completely free to play and the paid items are only extra (like themes etc) or they can be earned (like in-game currency), that's fine - most of the time. Some games offer these extras as paid features, but as you progress along the game you'll find it very difficult to get ahead without paying for these. Usually Google Play indicates if there are any IAPs, so I kind of know what to expect.
